Eva Nolan investigates online databases of "species sightings" - photographs of organisms within their natural habitat - as a platform for sensitive and ethical empirical drawing. Whilst taxonomically precise, Nolan's drawings are also spontaneous and discursive as critters interrelate and extend beyond the confines of the specimen dish. Her drawings challenge the systems of division that underpin biological classification and highlight the web of relations that entangles all living things.
